Why Homelands exists

Built by a runner, not a brand

Homelands started as a manual challenge — runners logging their miles and looking up whose native land they were on. It worked, but it was tedious: flipping between a fitness app, a website, and a lands database just to finish the loop.

Danny Brigman, a citizen of the Spokane Tribe and a UESCA-certified ultra running coach, built Homelands to close that gap. The app automates the lookup so land acknowledgement becomes part of the workout itself, not an extra step people skip.
